Jeffrey is a partner whose practice focuses on representing clients in diverse and complex labor & employment and health care matters. He is an experienced and trusted litigator, advisor, investigator, and negotiator.

Jeffrey represents employers in all aspects of labor & employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage-and-hour claims. Jeffrey also represents corporate clients in complex wage and hour class, collective, and representative actions. He litigates employment disputes before administrative agencies, arbitrators, and in court.

Jeffrey serves as a trusted advisor to his clients, providing experienced advice and counseling on employment law issues, including hiring, performance management, wage and hour compliance, navigating leaves of absence and the reasonable accommodation process, and employee separations. He also drafts employee handbooks, employment agreements, and severance agreements.

Jeffrey is also an experienced health care advisor and litigator. He regularly represents hospitals, medical staffs, medical foundations, and ambulatory surgery centers. He focuses his health care work on health care and medical staff peer review hearings, resident discipline and hearings, and complicated compliance issues.

Client Work

Fashion & Retail Law

  • Advise numerous fashion and retail companies, including Lacoste, Diesel, MCM, Golden Goose, Mackage, and Diane von Furstenberg, on a wide range of matters, including employment litigation, employee separations, leaves of absence, updating policies and practices and employee investigations.

Health Care Litigation

  • Counsel and represent hospitals, health systems, and medical staffs in matters relating to peer review, including physician corrective action, exhaustion of administrative remedies, and California Evidence Code Section 11157.
  • Represent hospitals with respect to resident discipline and hearings.

Sports

  • Conduct numerous compliance investigations for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee to ensure national governing bodies are complying with their own Bylaws, the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act, and the USOPC Bylaws.
  • Served as a clerk in an American Arbitration Association (AAA) arbitration brought by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

Automotive

  • Represent national and regional automotive dealership clients in employment litigation matters, including class actions, representative PAGA actions, and single plaintiff litigation.
  • Advise dealership clients on a variety of employment issues, including employee separations, leaves of absence and policy updates.

Previous Work

Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Jeffrey was an associate at an international law firm. He was also a judicial extern for the Honorable Gary A. Feess, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
