Client Work

John represents clients from multiple industries in antidumping duty, countervailing duty, and section 201 cases before the International Trade Commission and the US Department of Commerce. He has significant experience in handling matters before the Office of the US Trade. He also represents clients in Section 232 and Section 301 investigations. He has represented some of the world’s largest steel companies and currently represents one of the world’s largest producers of solar panels.

John has represented clients from over 30 countries including India, Mexico, Brazil, Italy, Japan, China, Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Romania.

John is one of the few US lawyers who represents Middle East producers in trade actions before the Gulf Cooperation Council located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 

He also advises companies importing goods into the United States in all areas of customs law, including: classification and valuation of products; country of origin requirements; and customs penalty actions.

John also has experience in representing individuals in Foreign Claims Act cases before the US Department of Defense.

Professional Activities

John has been an adjunct professor in international trade at Georgetown University Law Center.
