Juliana specializes in developing and executing global worldwide patent protection and enforcement strategies for a wide variety of clients. Juliana is skilled in all aspects of preparation, prosecution, and enforcement of patents. She has extensive experience in the areas of communications, mobile technologies, medical devices, computer implemented and Internet-based inventions. Juliana is also experienced with global IP client counseling, analyzing patent portfolios for inbound and outbound licensing, and due diligence transactions.

Previous Work

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Juliana worked as a systems analyst in the area of database management systems. Juliana is also fluent in Bulgarian and Russian and has worked as an interpreter during high-level state visits for various US and international agencies and organizations, including serving as an interpreter for presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.

Professional Activities

Juliana has co-written several articles on Internet choice of law and related issues in publications such as The Computer Lawyer. In pursuing her legal education, she was twice a recipient of a George Soros Open Society Foundation Scholarship.
