LaShanda Whaley is a legal compliance and ethics professional with extensive experience in managing complex ethics matters across various roles. Over the past decade, she has advised elected officials, senior management, and general employees in both federal and local government on ethical standards, while overseeing investigations into fraud, waste, and abuse. She has drafted and commented on ethics-related legislation, directed confidential investigations into ethics violations, provided guidance on financial disclosure, and conflicts of interest. LaShanda has developed multifaceted ethics training programs and crafted policies to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.

Client Work
LaShanda’s prosecutorial experience includes managing investigations and leading trials in high-stakes felony cases, as well as prosecuting a wide range of criminal cases. She has also represented clients in criminal defense, advocating in trials and negotiating plea agreements. As a judicial law clerk, she conducted legal research and prepared draft opinions, contributing to the efficiency of court operations.
