Scott works with public and private companies, trade associations, and nonprofits on strategic corporate transactions (including M&A deals, debt/equity financings and joint ventures), securities law compliance, corporate governance, and commercial and technology services agreements. He has advised clients in the sports, beverage and food and technology sectors.
Scott also has experience advising developers, institutional investors and high net worth individuals on the acquisition, disposition and financing of commercial real estate assets.
In addition to his client work, Scott provides pro bono legal services to small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs in the Washington, D.C. area.
Previous Work
Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Scott worked as a Law Clerk at a boutique firm in Washington, D.C. that specializes in affordable housing transactions and served in multiple roles in the Office of General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development while attending law school at night. He also worked as a research assistant for Dean William M. Treanor, conducting research into the history and evolution of judicial review.

Life Beyond the Law
Scott is a lifelong resident of the Washington, D.C. area and lives in Alexandria with his fiancée. He enjoys reading history, playing softball, and rooting for the Washington Nationals.
