Health Care Practice Leader Douglas Grimm will present at the Center for Telehealth & eHealth’s (CTeL) inaugural Remote Patient Monitoring Summit on October 20.

Douglas’s presentation is titled “Understanding the Differences to Advance Policy: RPM/RTM is NOT Telehealth or Chronic Care Management.” He will discuss how remote patient monitoring (RPM) and continuous patient monitoring are defined; how and why RPM, remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM), and continuous monitoring regulations differ from those of telehealth; the authority regulators have to advance remote monitoring policy; and how Congress could expand RPM, RTM, and continuous monitoring services and reimbursement opportunities.

The event will provide the opportunity for the RPM and RTM community to engage with policymakers to identify policy barriers that are preventing greater patient and provider adoption of remote technologies.
