Government Relations Practice Co-Leader Jon Bouker will present to members of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia’s (HBA-DC) Judicial Pipeline Project about the federal judicial application, nomination, and appointment process on May 14.

The presentation, titled “How to Become a Judge in Federal Courts,” relates to HBA-DC’s recently-launched Judicial Pipeline Project, an initiative that aims to diversify the judicial bench and address the low representation of Hispanics in the District of Columbia judiciary. As the current Chair of the District of Columbia Federal Law Enforcement Nominating Commission, Jon has been asked to share his first-hand knowledge and advise on how to be a successful applicant to the judicial bench. He will present alongside Eric Angel, who worked on judicial nominations during the Clinton Administration and previously served as the Executive Director of the Legal Aid Society of DC.
