WGR Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Virtual Summit

The Summit aims to enhance government relations professionals’ understanding of the need for DEI in the government relations field. Attendees will gain insight into how to acknowledge, recognize, and hold one another accountable for authentic DEI work. Following the programming each day, WGR will hold 30-minute breakout sessions for attendees to connect and reflect on what they’ve learned.

Cissy will deliver closing remarks for the presentation “Embracing Diversity Here and Now –  Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) in 2021: Challenging Policy and Politics,” which will take place on July 20 and feature Moderator Shelly Mui-Lipnik, Executive Director at Novartis, and Panelists Jocelyn Hong, Founder of Jocelyn Hong and Associates, and Joyce Meyer, Executive Vice President of the American Council of Life Insurers.

She will also provide introductions to a July 22 presentation entitled “Living the Work: Strategies for Inclusive Leadership – Workshop: 7 Steps to Becoming an Inclusive Organization,” featuring speaker Jennifer Yi Boyer, Chief People Officer and Senior Vice President of Diversity Equity and Inclusion at Fiscal Note.

In addition, Cissy will co-moderate the discussions in three networking and reflection sessions.
