FCC and HHS to Hold Roundtable on the Connected Future of Maternity Care
In our recent alert, we advised you that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) was seeking public comment on a Notice of Inquiry to explore how the FCC’s “Mapping Broadband Health in America” platform could be expanded and enhanced to help better leverage digital health tools to improve maternal care.
To supplement and expand on that effort, the FCC and the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have announced a joint roundtable titled “The Connected Future of Maternity Care: Intersecting Maternal Health and Broadband Data.”
The hybrid event will be held November 17, 2023, from 10:30am - 4:00pm ET at FCC Headquarters and will be streamed online at www.fcc.gov/live.
The agencies encourage the following interested parties to attend either in person or online:
- Policymakers
- Public health experts
- Clinicians and researchers
- Community organizations
- Innovators
- Telecommunications and broadband service providers, and other people interested in the intersection of broadband and maternal health
Registration at https://www.fcc.gov/c2h-event-registration is encouraged by November 15, 2023.
