Craig Engle Quoted in New Jersey.com on Trump Presidential Candidacy
Craig Engle, head of Arent Fox’s Political Law group, was quoted in “What if Trump quit the race? What would Republicans do?” by New Jersey’s political paper NJ.com.
Craig discusses the possibilities and process of selecting a new nominee if Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump were to unexpectedly leave the 2016 race.
“This would require them to just start over,” said Craig, by having to reassemble their convention delegates for a second time or limit the gathering to the state party chairs and national committee members. Craig also remarked, “The Republican party has no shortage of candidates to choose from, however, Trump has shown no signs of quitting the race.”
