Aly Named Among Crain’s Chicago Notable Minorities in Law
Schiff Hardin LLP is pleased to announce that Intellectual Property Group Co-Leader Imron Aly has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ Notable Minorities in Accounting, Consulting & Law list for 2020.
The list recognizes his professional success and commitment to mentorship, especially to fellow minority attorneys.
Imron led the Schiff team on a path-defining appeal for our client, Fresenius Kabi, in a patent infringement suit, which had been recognized previously for the LMG Life Sciences Award for the 2020 Hatch-Waxman Litigator of the Year - Generic. The case victory followed failed efforts by prior litigants and two law firms that had challenged the same claim.
Imron represents a significant number of generics manufacturers around the world, and mentors attorneys and a diverse IP group at Schiff. Over the course of his career, Imron has earned an impressive series of ANDA and Hatch-Waxman litigation wins and strategic settlements for top-tier U.S. and Indian pharmaceutical clients. Imron is a board member of the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms, which provides training and mentorship programs to assist minority lawyers. He has also been recognized by IAM Patent 1000, Managing IP, and Chambers USA.
