Arent Fox Counsels Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company on Arena Naming Rights Transaction
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Arent Fox LLP recently served as outside counsel to Fort Worth-based Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Co., advising the global workwear company on a naming rights agreement with Multipurpose Arena Fort Worth and the City of Fort Worth for what will be known as Dickies Arena.
Arent Fox Sports leader Richard L. Brand led the transaction for the new arena with partner Kelli Scheid Smith and assistance from associates Amy E. Salomon and Luna M. Samman. Dickies Arena is scheduled to open in late 2019 and is expected to seat up to 14,000 people, hosting a wide range of events including concerts, sports, and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo performances.
Other transactions in the past year led by Mr. Brand and Arent Fox’s nationally recognized naming rights and sponsorship transactions team include representing the Transbay Joint Powers Authority in a naming rights transaction with Salesforce for Salesforce Transit Center; Seattle Seahawks in a naming rights renewal transaction with CenturyLink, Inc. for CenturyLink Field; Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment in a naming rights transaction with New York Community Bank for “Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, presented by New York Community Bank”; the Los Angeles Lakers in a naming rights and health provider rights deal with UCLA Health for the UCLA Health Training Center; the Miami Dolphins in an 18-year stadium naming rights agreement with Hard Rock International for Hard Rock Stadium; and Inova Health System in a training facility and headquarters naming rights agreement with the Washington Redskins for Inova Sports Performance Center at Redskins Park.
