Arent Fox Partner Andrew Silfen Honored at New York Institute of Credit’s 94th Annual Banquet
New York, NY — On June 4, Arent Fox LLP partner Andrew I. Silfen, head of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring practice, was honored by the New York Institute of Credit with the 40th Leadership in Credit Education Award. Given annually, the award goes to an industry professional who demonstrates dedication and commitment to NYIC and the credit industry.
“It is a great honor to receive this award,” said Mr. Silfen, who accepted it at the NYIC’s 94th Annual Banquet at the New York Hilton Towers in Manhattan. “I want to thank my partners at Arent Fox, who have supported me throughout my career and in my efforts to build a bankruptcy and restructuring group that embraces the great traditions of our firm.”
Mr. Silfen is nationally known for his work on behalf of creditors committees and indenture trustees and has extensive experience in financial restructuring, distressed situations, and bankruptcy issues. His practice also includes counseling companies’ boards of directors and management on insolvency matters, crisis management, and financial and operational restructurings. Mr. Silfen is an officer and a member of the board of directors of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors and the NYIC’s executive board.
The NYIC is a non-profit chartered educational corporation offering professional-level courses and seminars in various aspects of credit granting and bank lending.
