ArentFox Schiff Adds Veteran Antitrust Partner Michael Jahnke in New York
ArentFox Schiff is pleased to announce the expansion of its Antitrust & Competition practice with the addition of Partner Michael W. Jahnke. A veteran practitioner with rare strength in both transactional and litigation counseling, Michael’s practice focuses on antitrust and consumer protection issues stemming from business disputes and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.
Michael joins the firm from Thompson Hine, where he represented clients before the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice during the merger review process to help settle or limit antitrust issues and ensure regulatory compliance. He routinely advises clients on a variety of antitrust matters, including analyzing potential issues, reviewing draft agreements and conducting due diligence, navigating regulators’ requests, and managing Hart-Scott-Rodino Act (HSR) filings.
“After a record year for M&A activity, anticipation is building for enhanced scrutiny of deals and an increase in the volume of requests by the FTC and DOJ. Michael’s strong ability and proven track record of addressing complex antitrust problems will be a valuable resource for our clients.”
