Cristina Carvalho and Hunter Carter Named Among Latinvex’s 2023 Top 100 Lawyers
ArentFox Schiff is pleased to announce that Co-Managing Partner Cristina A. Carvalho and International Practice Co-Leader Hunter T. Carter have been named again to Latinvex’s 2023 Top 100 Lawyers list, an annual ranking of leading attorneys from international law firms that serve as go-to advisors for Latin American companies.
Cristina was recognized in the IP Rights category, and this is her eighth year in a row being listed. This is Hunter’s ninth consecutive year earning this recognition, and he was listed in the Arbitration & Litigation category.
Additionally, ArentFox Schiff was named a top law firm for work in Latin America for the eighth year in a row, for its work in the Arbitration; FCPA, Fraud & Investigations; Litigation; and Trademarks & IP Rights practice areas.
Cristina, a native of Brazil, serves as US counsel for major Latin American corporations. Throughout her career, she has used her knowledge and experience in the US and Brazil to advise clients on strategies for navigating different legal systems and cultures to realize opportunities in both mature and emerging markets.
Hunter is an international litigator with an emphasis on Latin America. As a party representative and as an International Chamber of Commerce arbitrator, Hunter handles significant commercial matters across the region. He also helps conduct internal corporate investigations and provides guidance on compliance with anti-corruption laws. In addition, he is a recognized advocate for human rights, having advised on marriage equality initiatives in numerous Latin American countries, and having tried a case involving torture against Chile in the Inter-American Court on Human Rights.
