Daily Journal Names Arent Fox Partner Debra Albin-Riley a ‘Top Woman Lawyer’ for a Second Consecutive Year
LOS ANGELES, CA — Arent Fox LLP Complex Litigation partner Debra Albin-Riley has been rated among the “Top Women Lawyers” in California by the Daily Journal for a second consecutive year as a result of her extensive trial experience and impressive track record of success before judges, juries, and administrative hearing officers in complex litigation matters.
With over 30 years of experience, Ms. Albin-Riley is a seasoned trial lawyer who handles complex multiparty litigation and has been first chair on a number of specialized cases, including complex toxic tort, sophisticated health care cases, the unique area of Rails-to-Trails, and tax claims involving conservation easements, as well as class actions.
Her trial victories include a complete defense judgment for a hospital in Southern California, including an attorneys fee award of $1.5 million. She also recently obtained summary judgment for a California hospital named as a defendant in a toxic tort matter on the basis that the plaintiffs’ claims were barred by the workers compensation exclusive jurisdiction doctrine..
In addition to representing hospitals and health systems throughout California, Ms. Albin-Riley also represents corporations and individuals in toxic tort, eminent domain, Proposition 65 and trust and estates litigation.
