Four Lawyers Named “Go-To Thought Leaders” in 2022
David Grosso and Shahiedah Shabazz have been recognized as “Go-To Thought Leaders” in Cannabis Law for their alert, “Summer 2022: A Brief Cannabis Legalization Update,” on efforts to legalize cannabis that have gained traction at the state and federal level.
The AFS Cannabis Industry Group is a cross-disciplinary team of attorneys providing creative solutions for issues in the increasingly sophisticated and complex industry, including matters on environmental regulation; licensing; product labeling and advertising; corporate formation; and transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and financing deals.
Adam Diederich and Kirstie Brenson have been named “Go-To Thought Leaders” in Election Law for their alert, “Big Lie Could Mean Big Trouble for Fox News in Defamation Case,” about Smartmatic’s defamation lawsuit against Fox News for its coverage of Donald Trump’s “Big Lie.”
Adam and Kirstie focus their practices on sports, media, and entertainment law, along with resolving disputes involving ownership and control of privately held businesses, restrictive covenants, business torts, and complex contract claims. Their ongoing content series, “Solving Disputes Among Business Partners and Owners,” addresses potential problems business owners may encounter when structuring their businesses and issues that commonly arise among owners of privately held businesses, both before and during litigation.
National Law Review’s 2022 “Go-To Thought Leadership Awards” recognizes 75 authors and legal organizations for their reporting of complex legislative and litigation news, as well as legal industry trends. The recipients account for less than 1% of the publication’s contributing authors.
