Human Rights Campaign Names Arent Fox a ‘Best Place to Work’
The 2018 Corporate Equality Index rated more than 1,000 businesses by evaluating their LGBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. In receiving a 100 percent rating, Arent Fox was named a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.”
For more than a decade, Arent Fox has focused on diversity efforts through its Diversity & Inclusion Committee, which is led by the firm’s chairman and includes many members of the senior management team. The Committee’s goals are to recruit, retain, and promote lawyers of color, women, and LGBT lawyers, while ensuring that firm resources are dedicated for training, mentoring, and business development.
Earlier this year, Arent Fox announced it is re-opening the application process for law students interested in being part of the Diversity Scholarship Program. The firm’s annual financial award is given to students who demonstrate a commitment to practicing law at the highest level.
