Kevin Matz to be Honored by UJA-Federation of New York
Partner Kevin Matz will be honored by UJA-Federation of New York at its Annual Trusts and Estates Event on June 8, 2023, for his professional and philanthropic dedication and leadership in the New York trusts and estates community.

Kevin has long been a staunch supporter of UJA and its philanthropic initiatives, and chaired UJA-Federation’s Trusts and Estates Group from 2019 to 2022, in addition to serving as a member of UJA’s Lawyers Executive Committee.
Kevin is also very prominent in his professional leadership. Kevin is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) for which he currently chairs its Business Planning Committee and is also a certified public accountant. Kevin also currently chairs the New York City Bar Association’s Estate and Gift Taxation Committee and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants’ Trust and Estate Administration Committee. In addition, in January 2023 Kevin completed his second three-year term as co-chair of the Taxation Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Trust and Estate Law Section.
A frequent speaker and author, Kevin presents at national industry conferences on the use of leveraged transfer techniques and estate planning for groups ranging from private equity and hedge fund managers to real estate families, entrepreneurs, professional athletes and creative artists. Highly regarded by peers and clients as a private clients, trust and estate, and estate planning lawyer, Kevin is ranked among industry leaders in the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Chambers High Net Worth guides.
In addition, Kevin is a recognized national leader in the area of qualified opportunity zone (QOZ) funds, and in July 2019 testified on ACTEC’s behalf before the US Department of Treasury concerning the proposed regulations on qualified opportunity funds. Kevin has also presented on QOZ funds and their estate planning considerations at several national conferences including the renowned Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning and the Notre Dame Tax and Estate Planning Institute.
