Schiff Hardin LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Francis Lyons has been invited to become a Fellow with the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL), a professional association of peer-recognized, distinguished lawyers in the field of environmental law.
As membership is by invitation only, ACOEL includes attorneys who are dedicated to maintaining and improving the ethical practice of environmental law, the administration of justice, and the development of environmental law through rigorous focus, outreach and education in all forums — federal, state, municipal, tribal and international.
Frank said, “I am honored to join the preeminent group of lawyers in the ACOEL, and continue to contribute to the ever-changing landscape of environmental law.”
A former regional administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and environmental enforcement attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Frank provides strategic counseling in sophisticated environmental law matters, with an emphasis on compliance under state and federal statutes. He previously served as chair of the Lake Michigan States Section of the Air & Waste Management Association, and on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for the Great Lakes, and Chicago’s Environmental Fund. Frank has been ranked by the Chambers USA guide since 2014 and was recognized on the Illinois Leading Lawyers 2021 list.
