White Collar & Investigations partner Peter Zeidenberg will serve as a panelist on “Spies or Stereotypes? The Case of Professor Xiaoxing Xi – Are Asian American Scientists Profiled as Economic Espionage Threats?” at University of California Hastings. Peter served as defense counsel to Xiaoxing Xi, the Chair of Temple University’s Physics Department, in a recent high-profile engagement.
Professor Xi, an American citizen, faced multiple counts of wire fraud for allegedly transferring sensitive technology to China, but was eventually cleared on all counts after an investigation revealed there was no basis to support his arrest. Peter will be joined on the panel with author Helen Zia and civil rights attorneys Victor Hwang and Yaman Salahi.
