Imhotep focuses his practice on preparing and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications. His technical areas of practice include a wide variety of technology areas, including telecommunications, computer architecture, computer networks, software technologies, e-commerce, and internet applications.

Previous Work

Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Imhotep worked at an IP focused firm where he drafted and prosecuted patent applications in technology areas including computer security, telecommunications, multi-tenant server architecture, database management systems, graphical user interfaces, artificial intelligence, internet applications, entertainment devices, communication devices, blockchain systems, data center systems, and graphics processing systems. He also has experience practicing before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), challenging and defending already-issued patents.

Imhotep also worked as a patent examiner at the USPTO where he focused on Cryptography and Information Security.

Life Beyond the Law

In his spare time, Imhotep enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his lovely family.
